Don’t Do As I Do

Running your business is a fickle thing. I’m easily able to sit here and tell my clients exactly how to grow their business, how often to post, when to post, what to post, etc… and yet here I sit not posting for over two weeks!

Thankfully, in these last two weeks, I’ve completely maxed out my business. So much so that not only have I hired someone to help me run creative content, but I plan to hire a virtual assistant (VA) by the end of the month, God-willing. When I launched this business just shy of two months ago, I didn’t anticipate this type of growth. My goal was to come in and exceed my corporate income by May while growing a sustainable business with short-term, and long-term, clients. In the first 40 days, I exceeded my May goal, and as mentioned above, am now hiring. WUT.

Y’all. I wish I had the words. For those of you who watched my Instagram stories last week, I feel like I’m in freeze mode. I’m constantly moving forward, but as far as growth where my business is concerned, totally frozen. Thankfully, there are people in my life who have helped me get here, and are helping to push me forward. One in particular, is Griffin, you can check out her consulting offerings here. Our families meet at the zoo in CO Springs each fall, and after growing multiples businesses of her own from the ground up, I fully trust her input and direction moving forward. Definitely book a call with her if you need some sense of direction in your small business, she’s the BEST.

Back to being overwhelmed… I’ve struggled to even make time to write a blog in the last few weeks, knowing how much work I’ve had, and what’s to come. On top of all of that, this week is spring break for our kids, which inherently means juggling their schedules, Micah’s, and my own. To-do lists, leaning on Micah to speak truth into me, and praying for God to help me prioritize every single day are helping me SO much.

I wish I had more to offer right now, but my mind is going a million miles a minute and I need to get back at it. I hope to post more next week on my hiring process, but for now I’m returning to my Quickbooks to make sure I have enough put back for quarterly taxes, and onto my next client work.

In the meantime, YES I’m still taking more clients! To my current clients who have sent referrals, THANK YOU. You’re the ones making this growth happen. I’m maxed out for March, but will be onboarding multiple new clients in April. Want to be one of them? Let me know!
